TECH CRUNCH - Feb 13 - That there are ~130M Americans currently living with a “chronic disease”. MyHealthTeams launched in 2011 to provide a platform where those living with chronic conditions can go to find, communicate and connect with others like them. The startup’s flagship community, MyAutismTeam, a social network for parents of children with autism, launched in beta in June of 2011 with 35 parents in California. Today, ~52K parents have registered to use the site. MyHealthTeams has raised $3.36M and will use the funds to expand its team.
