THE SPINOFF - Oct 26 - Social network Letterboxd, based in New Zealand, is a place for users to keep a film "diary" by recording and reviewing their movie-viewing, collating lists, and comparing notes with friends and a wider community. It's an easy way to find movies they'll like. The site makes a little money via affiliate links, pointing directly to where movies are streaming. Matthew Buchanan, Letterboxd co-founder, says "organic" recommendations are key to the site's whole project.
