THE SAXON - Mar 22 - The Belgian platform Hoplr (founded in 2014), which aims to offer citizens a digital neighborhood network, has just completed third funding round, which has enabled it to raise €2M. The platform allows residents of the same neighborhood to get in touch. Currently, ~500k families in 2k neighborhoods use Hoplr, 78% of them more than once a week. Hoplr also cooperates with ~100 local authorities in Belgium and the Netherlands who use the platform. The new money comes from the investment funds of Belfius, Matexi, and CAREvolution (Partena mutualities). It will make it possible to diversify its service offering.
