TECH CRUNCH - In looking for Twitter alternatives, Brazilians are showing more inclination toward the India-based social network Koo which has seen ~1M downloads in the country. But just a week into the launch in the South American market, Koo is already facing moderation and security challenges. The social network faces moderation and security problems after its Brazil launch. Hackers took control of popular influencer Felipe Neto's Koo account by posting that they were warning users of the social network's lack of security. The company explained on its Portuguese-language Twitter account that it "relaxed our security for the last 2 hours to resolve the OTP issue" and all user data is safe.
