TECH CRUNCH - LinkedIn is announcing an acquisition that could point to its ambitions to provide more analytics and insights across the wider internet. The platform has acquired Oribi, a Tel Aviv startup specializing in marketing attribution technology. The deal will see LinkedIn establish its first office in Israel. It is confirmed that LinkedIn paid between $80M - 90M. Oribi had raised just under $28M in funding as a startup. CPO Tomer Cohen noted in the blog post that marketing services revenues had grown 43% YoY.
