INDEPENDENT - An ex-KPMG executive is setting up a new Irish social media network aimed at cryptocurrency users. Waivlength founder Niall O'Reilly says that the "blockchain-based, decentralized" platform will launch in June and require users to verify their identity to a banking industry standard. The company has received a grant of €250K from the Singapore-based Algorand Foundation to develop the social network and raised €200K through a Spark crowdfunding campaign.
