NEW YORK POST - The UK reportedly blocks Meta's $315M of Giphy, the popular animated GIF maker. The authority has told Meta that it has until Dec 1 to divest itself from Giphy, whose acquisition it completed in May 202. Meta also claimed that Giphy would have "continued in a diminished and underfunded state absent the merger."

TECH CRUNCH - Twitter is updating its iOS app to prevent tweets from disappearing while users are still reading them. The change comes as the social media giant recently updated its web platform to no longer automatically refresh timelines with new tweets. Twitter acknowledged that in the past, tweets would often disappear from view as users were reading them when their timeline would automatically refresh, creating a frustrating experience.

TECH CRUNCH - Reddit is shutting down Dubsmash, its short-form TikTok-like video platform, on Feb 22, 2022. The company said it would integrate its video creation tools into Reddit.
